In Gateway Gardens, the new district of the City of Frankfurt, the Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport is today celebrating its inauguration. The first hotel of this brand in Germany is located in the heart of Gateway Gardens, next to the rapid transit station and the District Park. The hotel is directly linked to the terminals of Frankfurt Airport by a footpath, a shuttle bus, and as from the end of 2019 via the rapid transit network, too.
In the new Frankfurt district, Gateway Gardens, Dr. Helmut Greve Bau- und Boden- Aktiengesellschaft from Hamburg is building a large 13,700 square metre office building. According to the initial plans, “AirPark Frankfurt” will be developed at the beginning of 2018 in a prominent location on Amelia-Mary-Earhart-Straße, at the corner of Bessie-Coleman-Straße. It should be possible for the first tenants to move in in 2019. The expected total investment volume will be 30 million Euros.
In Gateway Gardens, the new district of the City of Frankfurt, Gateway Gardens Plaza GmbH &. Co. KG has in Amelia-Mary-Earhart-Strasse 5 purchased a 8,500-square-metre site. Construction work for the planned “Gateway Gardens Plaza” building with around 20,000 square metres of gross floor space is scheduled to begin in the late summer of 2017. The final tenants will be moving in after completion by mid-2019.
In Frankfurt’s youngest district, Gateway Gardens, construction work has begun for the new corporate headquarters of the tax consultants and auditors Schiff-Martini & Cie. GmbH (SMC). The new building, called the “Lindbergh parkside office”, is being erected in a central location on Amelia-Mary-Earhart-Strasse 8, and is being handled as a joint project between OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH and Gross & Partner Grundstücksgesellschaft mbH.

EUROPA-CENTER AG has acquired an 8,500-square-metre site in Frankfurt’s new district Gateway Gardens, in the immediate vicinity of Frankfurt Airport. The current plans for the “EUROPA-CENTER Gateway Gardens” project are for an office and business ensemble measuring around 34,000 square metres to be erected in a prominent location on Amelia-Mary-Earhart-Strasse. This constitutes the biggest marketing success so far in terms of office space in the history of Frankfurt Gateway Gardens.
Four-star business hotel upsizes overnight stay capacities in Frankfurt The Holiday Inn Frankfurt Airport yesterday celebrates its inauguration in Frankfurt’s new Gateway Gardens quarter. The business hotel is situated in a prominent location at the west entrance, in Bessie-Coleman-Strasse 16; Frankfurt airport can be reached directly either on foot or with a shuttle bus.
The new Gateway Gardens district at Frankfurt Airport continues to grow: with the topping-out ceremony, the new headquarters of the KION Group, an internationally operating mechanical engineering conglomerate, today celebrated an important milestone. The world’s leading vendor of fork-lift trucks, warehousing technology and automated delivery chain solutions is renting the entire building on a long-term tenancy. Completion and handing over to the tenant are scheduled for the third quarter of 2017.
Directly next to Frankfurt Airport, a new hotel will be built in the shape of the Hampton by Hilton in the Gateway Gardens district, Thea-Rasche-Strasse 4. Construction work is scheduled to begin in early 2017 and inauguration is planned for 2018. The building is being developed by Gross & Partner Grundstücksentwicklungsgesellschaft and OFB Projektentwicklung. With a floor space of 10,820 square meters, the hotel will, through mediation by Colliers International, be operated by Primestar Hospitality; this company has signed agreements with Hilton Multi Development to operate ten new hotels under the Hampton by Hilton brand in Germany.

The internationally active mechanical engineering group KION is the latest business to establish its headquarters in Gateway Gardens. In a joint project, Gross & Partner and OFB are responsible for building a new headquarters for the KION Group with a surface area of 7,800 square metres at the west entrance to Gateway Gardens in Frankfurt. The modern building designed by the Wiesbaden architects BGF+ will have seven floors and two below ground levels with an underground car park. The 250 KION employees are scheduled to move in the third quarter of 2017. The entire building will be on a long-term lease.
A Hyatt Place hotel, located at the Frankfurt Airport in Germany, is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2018. Union Investment acquired the approximately 3,006 sq m hotel site from seller, developer and lessee Europahotel Baufeld 11.3 GmbH & Co KG., which is part of the Feuring Group, via a forward purchase arrangement. The transaction was formally agreed on 14 March 2016. The completed hotel will be purchased by Union Investment for its open-ended retail real estate fund Unilmmo: Global. The Feuring Group will then operate the hotel under a lease for the next 30 years under the Hyatt Place brand. The parties agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction.
After just ten months of construction, the new Holiday Inn in Frankfurt’s Gateway Gardens district, located directly at the Frankfurt International Airport, celebrated its topping out ceremony yesterday. German Hotel Invest I GmbH & Co. KG, a joint venture of the Münchner Grund Immobilien Bauträger GmbH – a subsidiary of UBM Development AG – and Munich Hotel Invest GmbH – Lambert Group, plans to open the hotel in the 4th quarter of 2016.

New Frankfurt district obtains first DGNB Business District Certificate nationwide Gateway Gardens is the first estate to be certified with the DGNB Certificate for business districts by the DGNB German Sustainable Building Council.
